Essex Richards is pleased to announce that Julia Kirby Stage has joined Essex Richards P.A. as a partner in our family law group. Julia has worked in family law since 2012, counseling families and individuals in family related matters. It is important to Julia that her clients know she is their steadfast, zealous advocate. She realizes that going through a separation or child custody case can be one of the most challenging times of a person’s life and believes in educating her clients through every step of the way so they can be confident in their decisions. While the process is emotional, Julia is known to go out of her way to get the results her clients deserve.
Essex Richards family law partner Rob Blair commented, “The addition of Julia to our family law practice further enhances our ability to represent clients in every stage of their family law issues. Her energy and passion for her work and our team are a major asset. Julia is a skilled litigator with a keen ability to problem-solve what it takes to get each case to the finish line in and out of the courtroom.”
Julia graduated with honors from Clemson University, then realized her calling for family law while working as a clerk for a Mecklenburg County District Court Judge. She earned her Juris Doctorate in 2012.
Julia is an active member of the Mecklenburg County Bar, North Carolina Bar Association, and the Women Lawyers of Charlotte. Julia represents victims of domestic violence, pro bono, through Safe Alliance’s Legal Representation. Also, Julia is a Volunteer Attorney for the Council for Children’s Rights to ensure every child’s right to be safe, healthy, and well-educated.
Julia lives in Charlotte with her husband and two boys. You can find her spending time with her family and her two sweet dogs in her spare time.
