The use of social media has been exploding. Nearly two-thirds of American adults are now on a social networking site using them for many reasons including an opportunity to get things off their chests. It’s a bedrock of free speech but one that presents a challenge to employers. What happens when your opinion doesn’t toe the company line? Some employers are trying to set boundaries but does that mesh with the First Amendment? Some legal opinions.
