Essex Richards has raised over $1800 to donate to Classroom Central, a Charlotte-area organization that provides basic school supplies to students in need in the Charlotte area.
Classroom Central fosters equity in education by providing teachers and students with the free resources they need to succeed, and Essex Richards is proud to be part of the effort.
Classroom Central started its journey by serving students and teachers in Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools. Since opening its doors in 2002, it has expanded into six school districts, serving 162,000+ students in 227 schools in CMS, Gaston County, Iredell-Statesville, Union County, City of Kannapolis, and Lancaster County, South Carolina. Teachers and other school personnel can receive free supplies if 50% or more of their students receive free or reduced-price lunches.
This year, we surpassed our goal to raise $1,200 and raised $1848 for local students in need.
