Essex Richards is pleased to announce that Bree Laughrun has joined Essex Richards P.A. as a partner in our family law group. With more than ten years of experience, Bree dedicates her practice to family law and divorce proceedings, including alimony, appeals, child custody, child support, contempt motions, domestic violence, protective orders, equitable distribution, name change, post-separation support, premarital agreements, qualified domestic relations orders, separation agreements, and step-parent adoptions.
Essex Richards family law partner Rob Blair commented, “we are very excited that Bree has chosen to join our firm as a partner! She brings strength and experience to our family law team, especially in the area of litigation.”
Bree graduated cum laude with a certificate of concentration in Family Law from T.C. Williams School of Law at the University of Richmond in 2009. She received her B.S. in Business Administration from The College of Charleston in 2006. A Charlotte native, she returned to her hometown after law school and accepted a position with the Mecklenburg County Public Defender’s Office. During this time, Bree dedicated her practice to defending the rights of those individuals unable to afford counsel, giving a voice to the often overlooked and ignored.
